Backstory

We both hail from backgrounds as physical therapists, which led to our meeting years ago through a statewide professional organization and speaks to our shared interest in healing and enhancing the lives of those with whom we share this planet.

Julie discovered her painting talent in her youth and introduced Mike to his own talent by means of a painting workshop he attended with her in 2015—the first of many workshops to follow.

When they’re not painting, Mike spends his time golfing and volunteering as a dog walker at HAWS, and Julie continues to work part-time as a physical therapist. She also teaches tai chi, writes poetry, and creates what she calls “Poetry Flicks,” which she shares on her website.
