Philosophy
I take inspiration from Nature, wildlife, and other artists’ works that I find meaningful. I particularly enjoy taking a pattern or scene that might otherwise seem mundane and making it pop.
I also feel a strong connection between art and music, and each of my works is associated with a musical piece, which could hail from any of a wide array of genres.

Backstory
I inherited my passion for art from my mother and grandmother, both of whom were artists. I entered UW-Stevens Point to study art, but changed my major midstream and graduated in 1997 with a BS in Biology & Wildlife Management.
Like many artists, my ability to focus my full attention on my art has depended on the circumstances of any particular era of life. But the joy of creating art always returns like a trusted friend when life hands me the opportunity to pursue it seriously and in earnest.
